American Girl Molly doll with her meet outfit: skirt, sweater, shoes, socks. We aren't her original family. My impression of Molly is that she might or might not have been a display doll and that she might be from the earlier 90s??? Please read description and see photos.

Photos should represent Molly very well but if you need additional, please request. My description is moreso my own lay interpretation so please see photos if specifics are important insofar as'dating this Molly doll'.

Molly's face: Absolutely beautiful with her gorgeous light bluish grayish eyes! Her eyes work as they should and she has delightful soft lashes. I detect no signs of'silver eye' but please examine the photos closely as you may know more than I do. I don't see any facial flaws but I guess I could say a shine mark or so (just to be safe). Molly's hair: I suspect her braids are original factory braids (which is why there are a few flyaways that I haven't tended to).

I don't want to re-braid her hair if it is in original braids. I don't think I'd be able to re-tie the little ribbons either. I'm not her original owner so I cannot be certain of whether or not her braids are original (see photos for info).

You will receive Molly exactly as you see her pictured in the photos. Molly's limbs: I'm not really seeing many flaws, a faint pinkish mark on the front side of her right knee, but I may be missing some flaws. Please plan on a few shine marks and/or marks (just to be safe). Her body is clean and'scent neutral' or at least nearly so, as I detect no scent. Her limbs may be a smidge loose - but I tend to doubt it. She's in good condition. She has further evidence of being a display doll if you examine her soft body for the indentation made by doll display/holder. I haven't'fluffed' or squeezed her body but I'm confident the little indentation would resolve very easily (but no guarantees). AG hospital advises that there is misinformation regarding how'tight' a doll's limbs should be, there should be some'give' so the limbs aren't stressed during play.

In this case, I do believe Molly's limbs to be likely about as close to tight/firm as I (personally) would want them. She stands easily and poses so nicely.

She is a true gem! Molly's skirt and sweater are marked'Made in Hungary' Pleasant Company. I believe it was the earlier 90s when PC was having AG items made in Hungary (but please verify this for yourself since I cannot guarantee). Molly's sweater will typically end up stretched due to play. These clothing items are in pretty good condition and I don't see much sign of damage to the sweater perhaps the wrist area of the sleeves is stretched a tad? The clothing doesn't necessarily'date' the doll. Molly's shiny shoes and'waffle woven' socks are just adorable. I've also added white bloomers but please be advised that the elastic in the waist is not quite as tight as it should be imo. Molly's neckstamp is Pleasant Company (see pics). Molly is a fantastic doll! Perhaps a collector might be best seek out a Molly which has been'box kept', however, this Molly appears to me to have lived a life of primarily having been displayed rather than played with. PLEASE plan to receive a pre-owned, pre-loved, played with doll (just in case your impression is different than mine, I'm merely stating my opinion and not guaranteeing). She has been wiped down and is clean,'scent neutral' (which is a biggie since many of the older dolls -even the display ones- end up w/smells - not good either), and aesthetically pleasing. I strive for you to receive exactly the item you are anticipating (as per description).

Again, please review photos and ask any questions prior to purchasing since she is a final sale - ready for her new home! I strive to provide items that are at least as good as described, if not better. This may or may not'leave a little room' if ever a resell scenario might arise.

If you're interested in more than one of my listings, please feel free to ask me for'combined pricing'. I've been asked to split listings and SOMETIMES I'm more than willing to accommodate this request.
