1990/1991 American Girl Doll Samantha Pleasant Company Transitional Tan Body
18 American Girl Doll Samantha - Retired Historical Doll by Pleasant Company. Samantha is a transitional doll, meaning that she was made in 1990 or 1991, when the white bodies were switching to tan bodies, so while she has a tan body, she has many of the typical white body doll features, such as long, soft brown eyelashes, light brown hair, and very soft vinyl. Pictures have been taken in both natural and studio lighting to show her as accurately as possible. No work has been done to her besides a gentle cleaning of her vinyl and brushing of her hair (dampened with water, using a wig brush only).
Samantha has beautiful light brown hair, with a gentle curl. Her wig is original, layered, and uncut. Maybe a teensy bit of dryness at the ends, not noticeable. There does seem to be some hair missing from the underside of her wig, see pictures. It's not noticeable unless you put her hair up.
Full eyelashes, with just a few missing from one eye as pictured. She has the long, white body doll style eyelashes, and beautiful bright brown eyes. Her eye color is most accurate in the outdoor pictures.They open and close as they should. Her legs are pretty loose, so you may want to restring them.
Some yellow marks on one leg as pictured. No other marks or stains on her limbs or cloth body.I'll say she has a shine mark just to be safe. Pictures have been taken in a variety of lightings. The outdoor ones capture her color the best.
No clothes included, although I'd be happy to bundle her with any outfit from my store, just send me an offer on both.
