ADDY CAPE ISLAND DRESS RIBBON BOOK Set Rare Pleasant Company American Girl Doll
American Girl ADDY's CAPE ISLAND DRES S designed from an original dress on display from 1865 in the Wisconsin Historical Society's Online Collection of children's clothing. RARE collectors item that was available for only 2 years 2003-5. Beautiful pale pink salmon color short sleeved linen dress. Boat neck, pleated front bodice with lined back. Black corded trim around the neckline, waistband, in pattern on skirt front, and around sleeves and cuffs.
Please see the last 2 pictures of the flaw which I believe is from the doll stand's metal grip during the period when Addy wore this on display. One mark in front, one more faint in back on the same side. I have not tried to wash these out.Dress was not played with so no typical pilling of this material. RIBBON: Pink, grey, white, and green wide checked silk stiff ribbon. Grey looped trim on edge and v-cut at ends. BOOK: New Hardcover 6" x 4.5" from Short Story Collection ADDY'S SUMMER PLACE.
