RARE FIRST RELEASE Pleasant Co Samantha's 1986 Birthday Outfit American Girl

FIRST RELEASE of Samantha's Birthday Story outfit - with both dress and pinafore tagged Made in China for Pleasant Company 1986. The dress has three sections of Velcro instead of one long section. I don't see any marks, rips, or stains, and there are no odors. The outfit needs a good ironing but the fabric is so delicate I really don't want to be the one who irons it! Her lacy white socks are also included - they could use a whitening job.

The rosebud circlet may be missing a rosebud - there are seven buds - thinking there should be eight. The "Happy Birthday Samantha" book seems to be a first edition and unread - dated 1987, so not sure why it isn't dated 1986. Great set for the collector who wants authentic pieces for his/her Samantha doll.
